Futarasan Shrine (Nikko)
Futarasan Shrine in Nikko, Tochigi, enshrines Okuninushi, Tagorihime, and Ajisukitakahikone — the three deities of the sacred mountains of Nikko. Founded in traditional accounts around 782, the shrine predates the famous Toshogu by over 800 years and embodies the ancient mountain-worship tradition of the region.
