Hakone Okami is the divine spirit of the Hakone mountain complex and Lake Ashi (Ashinoko). Hakone Jinja, situated on the shore of Lake Ashi with a famous torii gate rising from the water, enshrines three deities as the Hakone Gongen: Ninigi no Mikoto, Konohanasakuya Hime, and Hikohohohemi no Mikoto.
