Emperor Ojin (応神天皇) is the fifteenth legendary emperor of Japan, son of Emperor Chuai and Empress Jingu. He is best known as the human basis of the Hachiman cult—upon his death he was deified at Usa Jingu and became one of the most widely worshipped deities in Japan.
