Oya Shrine
Oya Temple houses Japan's oldest known rock-carved Buddhist statue, a Senju Kannon (Thousand-Armed Kannon) carved directly into the cave wall. The surrounding Oya stone quarries create an otherworldly landscape and the nearby giant Heiwa Kannon statue stands 27 meters tall.
