Kozu Shrine
Kozu Shrine enshrines Emperor Nintoku, celebrated as the most benevolent ruler in Japanese mythology. According to the Kojiki, when Nintoku saw no cooking smoke rising from his people's homes, he suspended all taxes for three years. The shrine occupies the traditional site of his Takatsu Palace.
