Alternate form of the entry for Ōmononushi. The Ōmononushi no Kami is the divine spirit (nigi-mitama) of Okuninushi that chose to inhabit Mt. Miwa in Yamato. He guided Yamato Ōkunitama's founding and warned of epidemics requiring his proper enshrinement. Enshrined at Ōmiwa Shrine (Nara), one of Japan's oldest shrines, where the sacred mountain itself serves as the divine body. See also the canonical entry for omiwa.
