Nogi Shizuko (1859–1912) was the wife of General Nogi Maresuke. She performed junshi (ritual suicide to follow the deceased) alongside her husband on September 13, 1912, the night of Emperor Meiji's funeral. Both are enshrined together at Nogi Jinja in Tokyo and Kyoto.
