About

The grandson of Amaterasu and the heavenly ancestor of the imperial line. Ninigi descended from the Plain of High Heaven to Mount Takachiho bearing the three imperial regalia, initiating the divine rule of Japan. He is the ancestor of Emperor Jimmu.
