About
The elder brother of Emperor Jimmu who participated in the eastward campaign but was mortally wounded by an arrow at the Battle of Naniwa. Itsuse no Mikoto died lamenting that a son of the sun goddess should not fight facing the sun (east), influencing Jimmu to take a different route.
