The deity of Hinokuma Jingu in Wakayama, one of the oldest sun shrines in Japan. Hinokuma no Okami is enshrined in the sacred mirror Hinagatsutama no Kagami, a sun deity of the Kii region predating the Ise traditions. Co-enshrined with Kunikakasu no Okami at the same site.
